BIOGRAPHY
David Horovitch has appeared in over twenty productions of Shakespeare's plays including Love’s Labour’s Lost, Cymbeline, The Tempest, Measure for Measure and All’s Well That Ends Well. He has played leading roles at the National Theatre and for the Royal Shakespeare Company and has had an extensive and varied career in regional and West End theatre including productions of All My Sons, All the Angels, Hysteria, When We Are Married, Grief, Bedroom Farce, Life is a Dream, Absurd Person Singular, Mary Stuart, Major Barbara, Copenhagen, Ghosts, What the Butler Saw, A Doll’s House, School for Scandal, The Importance of Being Earnest, Absolute Hell, Racing Demon andThe Misanthrope.
As well as being remembered for his performance as Inspector Slack in Miss Marple with Joan Hickson, David’s diverse work in film and television includes roles in Rebecca, The Nun, Mr Turner, Young Victoria, 102 Dalmations, An Unsuitable Job For A Woman, Dad’s Army, Casualty, Trial & Retribution, Goodbye Mr Chips, Foyle’s War, Great Expectations, A Touch of Frost, Bognor, Ivanhoe, Just William, French & Saunders, Love Hurts, The Sculptress and The Blue Boy. He appears regularly on radio and has recorded numerous audio books including Anna Karenina and Nicholas Nickleby.
